Minutes of the Long Cove Point Association
Board of Directors Meeting
March 19, 2022

1. Call to Order

A short virtual meeting was called to order at 1:00 pm by John Mulcahy, Chairperson and President to discuss the 2022 calendar of events.. Present in addition to John were Elizabeth Vercoe (Secretary), Mark Jones (Treasurer), Tim Peele, Bonnie Potter, and Carol Kirby.

2. Calendar

The proposed calendar mailed to board members was amended as follows:

—The lobster dinner was changed to July 30 with prices listed as last year but with a caveat of possible increased costs.
—Pizza night will replace the barbecue and will be on August 13.
—Trivia night and Klondike afternoons were not listed and will be discussed with the Grams for possible inclusion.
—The extra cocktail party at the club was cancelled since there is still the annual one on June 18 and two others hosted at members' homes.
—The final potluck on August 27 was replaced with a farewell event with attendees bringing their own beverages and appetizers.

All large events will be held both inside and outside the club. The Grams will arrange for others to serve at the dinners.

3. Other Business

a. Beau Villecco has finalized the tennis schedule which will be posted on the club website.
b. Rental update: There is one paid event scheduled and two memorial services for which there is no charge..
c. There will be no instructor this year at yoga.
d. Mark initiated a brief discussion about the possible need for a dues increase due to tree work, tennis court expenses and other costs. Since the membership needs to vote on any increase, a decision on the issue must be made before the annual meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 pm
